A Mini Album

4IG-17

This week I spent time unpacking scrapbooks and putting them away in a new storage cabinet. Of course the job took a long time because the entire family couldn’t help but sit down and flip through the the albums. We loved looking through them and seeing all the memories come back to us. A few of my favorite albums were some mini books that I created about some of my favorite things. It had been about seven years since my last one and I was inspired to create a new one. This mini book is all about having fun with your supplies! I love printing mini photos and finding mini supplies to use inside the book.

The album is created 6×6. This size is perfect to use with smaller paper pads or cutting a 12×12 page down. The cover was done this way with Bazzill Basics Acetate. I love using the other pieces in the album for a bit of a “peek a boo” page.

With a peek a boo cover, the front page was fun to create. I wanted to make sure there was fun texture added to the page so I used Jane Davenport’s pattern paper and ran it through the We R Memory Keepers’ Stitch Happy. I cut my photo to fit side by side with a Storyline card. Those stickers are perfect for mini books and planners!

Another page ran through the We R Memory Keepers Typecast and a quick Storyline sticker makes this page a breeze to make.

I love the mini stickers in the Storyline collection! It is perfect for adding tiny titles for little pages. Memory Planner tabs help add fun interest to the edges of the pages.

Even the stickers from Heidi’s Stationery collection are perfect title stickers.

Layer washi tape and stickers look good peaking through the acetate pages.

Layering Storyline transparent stickers are fun to add to simple cardstock pages. Run the cardstock through an embossing machine for added texture.

I hope this inspires you to make a little mini book! There are so many themes you could create! This is a book of my favorite things, but you could also make a brag book of your kids, a December countdown album, 30 Days of Gratitude, or even a vacation album.
