Welcome to my home! Recently we decided to purchase a new sofa for our family room. Our old one over 16 years old was starting to show some wear and tear so we decided a new one was in order. Now if you know me and my style I adore bright pops of color teamed with white. I am a big lover of yellow but mint and aqua  teamed with yellow has  become a new fav color combo! So after 6 weeks wait to have our sofa made it finally arrived in all its aqua glory!

And so  I thought it was also a time to revamp one of the gallery walls in my family room to coordinate with my new sofa! Enter the Heidi Swapp Gallery collection available at Michaels stores.

Just a few new pieces was all that was needed to make this wall shine!

On closer  inspection you will see the two white DIY Frame kits and new Wall Art “home” word in my display that coordinates beautiful with my sofa. Today I want to share with you how quick and easy it was to create.

Take the large DIY frame out of the packaging and remove the striped mat from the frame.

Choose your favorite Colorshine color ( I choose Sweet Mint) and spray the entire mat with sweeping motions. You can see I used the lid from the frame box to spray my mat.

Spray some window cleaner onto some paper towel and wipe the excess Colorshine from the resist parts of the mat until they are all clean. Allow the mat to dry.

Add your photo of choice behind the mat and place it back in the frame ready to hang. The great thing about these frames is that they are very light weight so there is no worry about them hanging on your walls.

Next I used the smaller DIY frame, removed the mat and sprayed it with some butter Colorshine and repeated the process as above. I used the Mint Marquee Love glitter to cover the “Home” wall art word.

Once dry I added some patterned paper  from the Marquee Love Spring paper pad behind the mat and then put placed it into the frame. I then hot glue the wood word to the frame and added it to my gallery wall.

These touches go perfectly with my existing yellow clock, word and pineapple and Gold Glittered “hello” word from the Hello Heidi collection.

I must say my whole family room  really is such pleasure to come home to, when I walk in it just makes me happy. Now If I could only work out how to keep the kids off the  sofa!!!
