When the rest of Heidi’s team & I were in California for CHA our hotel had the most amazing thing…

…right smack-dab in the middle of the lobby they had jars and jars of water infused with the most wonderful things…all day long…every day. It was really one of the things I came to look forward to year after year during our trip!

So when I saw these darling new laminated tags Heidi created to work with the Minc (THAT’S RIGHT! The Minc can also be used as a laminator!), I thought it would be fun to try to recreate that favorite memory right in my home by creating my own little infused-water jar tags!

This is all I needed:

  • the package of labels (you get 8 labels in 4 different designs!)
  • Heidi’s brand new set of wet erase markers
  • my Minc machine

…and that’s it!

To create these re-usable labels, I placed each of my paper cards into the little lamination folders that come in the package. These are so awesome, because they are the perfect size for the cards…and they already have little notches taken out of each of the corners! So adorable!

Because I was using my 12″ Minc for this project, I then placed my card/folder into the large transfer folder that comes with the Minc – the little card/folder combo is just a little too small to work effectively by itself in the larger Minc.

BUT, if you have the smaller 6″ Minc you should have no trouble putting the little card/folder through on its own.

Next, I ran my transfer folder (containing my card/folder combo) through my machine…

…on setting 2.

*Quick tip: if you’re using one of Heidi’s Minc products (or other AC companies’ Minc products) and you’re not quite sure what heat setting to use, check the back of your product packaging. Up in the right-hand corners you’ll find the recommended setting for your project. Easy peasy.

After it’s little trip through the Minc, my card was all ready to be labeled!

OK – I just have to tell you how awesome I think it is that these little laminated cards are just about the cutest things in the WORLD. I think I’m going to make one into a luggage tag…it will be perfect!

I labeled my tags and headed off to get some water infused!

Oh my gosh. These are adorable.

I’m so excited to use these for parties this summer!

In fact, I’m not waiting until summer to do this…

I kept this jar filled with infused water out all weekend…and I had to keep refilling it!

That made me so happy!

Making your own infused water is probably the easiest thing you’ll do all day…

Simply fill a jar (or carafe, or glass) with water and fruit (and herbs!). That’s it! The water will slowly take on the flavors of the ingredients you’ve added…so so good! And really pretty, too…

Here are some ideas: just mix these ingredients together and allow to sit in the refrigerator (or counter) for 4-6 hours.

Cucumber Mint

Citrus Mint

Strawberry Lemon

Cherry Lime

Grapefruit Raspberry

Lemon Lime

And enjoy!

It’s the little things, folks…
