Last month I shared how I found a box of negatives over 70 years old. This was the start of a very special project that I started calling “The Jack Evans Project”. In that box was negatives of my father-in-law’s first baby photos that he never knew existed. Can you imagine turning 71 and never seeing yourself as a baby? You can read that post I shared about finding the box of photos here.
Today’s post is about how he reacted to receiving this surprise birthday album. So many of you shared your excitement about this project and wanted to see his reaction to his album.
All it took was 1 Storyline album and 1 Deck of Days Sticker Kit to get these photos documented. It doesn’t get easier than that! No need to worry about excessive supplies or deciding what papers match or fit where. This project is just about getting the photos printed and in an album.
Well, I have kept you all in suspense enough! Here is the video of Jack opening his album and the letter I wrote him as the title page.
I hope you enjoyed seeing that candid video of Jack opening his album. I think he was a bit in shock and you couldn’t see the tears in his eyes behind his glasses, but I saw them. Tears (and goosebumps) were shared by all the family that was there. He couldn’t believe it and I know it will be treasured.
I hope this inspires you to print your child’s photos. Don’t wait until they are grown! Do it now and document the stories they won’t remember as an adult.
