Jamie here and I can’t wait to share a few of my ways to add photos to my planner. It’s the middle of the year. Right?!?! I know? Tomorrow is June the 1st. It’s my desire to continue to be purposeful with my Memory Planner and keep up with happenings, thoughts, ideas, and most of all, memories. Because without our memories, we have nothing.
I can never seem to stick with one size photo. No matter how much I try. I have larger photos (6×4) I want to have in my planner. Square photos from Instagram. Landscape images + an Instax picture here and there. And I have created solutions for all these shapes and sizes.
So let’s explore these different ideas:
Every once in a while I will use my Instax Share Printer to print a recent fav photo.
A quick way to add this to my planner is by using one of the gold clips that is part of the collection and simply clip to the front inside pocket. What I really like about this easy solution is that I can see the photo no matter where I am opened in my planner. How great is that?
So this might seem like a no brainer…but I find sometimes I sort of forget. I can stare at these pocket pages wondering what to add to them.
But these pocket pages are perfect for your most favorite Instagram images. Just keep them square, size image down to 2-inches, print off, and add to pocket. Memory saved! Oh man…that was easy!
Now this one can be a little tricky…
But I made a tool for way of adding photos to your planner. I have included a downloadable photo template that you can download here. The templates are sized perfect for the rectangle spaces on the week at a glance pages. For the love of making it easy, use that template. You can thank me later.
I sort of tend to stay inside the lines. I know…it’s weird. But I like to use the rectangle space and square space on these ‘My Week’ pages and use them to keep the info organized.
But recently I have started using square photos, again, mostly from Instagram, in the date journal space on the page. At 2×2-inches, the photo overlaps just a little, but I like it! I like have these square spaces. They give me incentive to print those images I have posted on social media, but that desperately need to be out of the device. Can you relate to this emotion?
Last idea for today: add a photo card to the planner. Sometimes I ‘need’ to have a 6×4 photo on my planner. Especially those family images…even in their imperfection…eh hem.
This might actually be my favorite way to add a photo. I printed out the photo. Then adhered it to pattern paper. Hole punched so it would fit on the bottom half of the binder, and ta dah! a perfect family photo all big and everything in my planner. Boom! that’s happiness.
And that is just five ways to add photos to your Memory Planner. There are other ways as well. It’s not inclusive to just these five. But for sure these are great refresher ideas and maybe inspiration to have you too adding those precious images to your planner.
