I took some time today transform my spooky tree branch entry
décor to a warm fuzzy, thanksgiving vibe.
I picked up a few sparkly things that
were on sale at Micheal's to add to the branches… I made this thanksgiving
banner a couple weeks ago, and it’s been hanging in my studio window, so I
moved it down and tied it up in the branches.
I cut up the sprigs of velvety flowers,
berries and glittery leaves and I used little clips (Tim Holtz) to simply
attach them to the branches. I printed out the gratitude PDF from THIS KIT, and
added some of the elements inside a heart box kit. I spray painted this heart kit black, and chose the one that says
“home is where we are ONE” to dangle from the bottom of the heart.
The only thing that stayed in the transformation was my
tattered angles Owl… can you see him?
and look at what i found in the dollar bin at M's… i LOVE it!! it's a glittery die-cut metal 'celebrate'…
i love how all around, everyone is talking about 'being thankful'…even on TV! it's SO important to focus on our blessings. everything from the smallest convenience to the biggest miracle…it's time to be grateful! and SMILE… to me, these little holiday decorations set the stage, and act as a constant reminder about what makes this time of year special!
i used the House of 3 Monogram kit to create the banner.. if you haven't checked it out- this awesome kit has all the letters of the alphabet in PDF format, so all you have to do is download and PRINT!
i have been working on a fun 'thanksgiving' book project that uses the gratitude printable kit (referenced above!)…what are you feeling grateful for? start thinking… photographing and documenting the little magical, wonderful things about your life right now so you can join me making this meaningful project with us at House of 3!
