I love when product can inspire you to create. The beautful Hawthorne collection is the perfect starting point to create some cards and today I want to share 3 cards I made recently. I love the combo of florals and stripes that give a sophisticated element to my cards.
For this card I began with a white cardstock base and then trimmed down some Nightfall pattern paper as a base. I then layered over the ledger paper called Hayden. I then randomly tore strips of washi from the washi pack and laid them down the center of my card front.
I then took one of the Minc words -family and ran it through my machine with some gold foil, making sure to run it through on setting 1 as it is an acrylic word. To finish i used a clip to attach the clear piece of floral ephemera!
My next card again started with a white cardstock base and a piece of Nightfall pattern paper. I then trimmed a piece of the Sugarhouse pattern paper to lay over the top. I added some Silver flakes to the self adhesive word and adhered it to my card for the title.
I then used some of the Sugar House pattern paper to handcraft myself a paper bow. I created a loop with a strip of paper then adhered another piece of the pattern paper strip around the middle of the loop to create the bow. I then trimmed another strip , cut notches in the end and adhered it to the bottom of the bow and added it to the front of my card,
For my final card it again began with the white cardstock and Nightfall pattern paper base. This time I added a piece of the gorgeous Hawthorne pattern paper over the top, rounding the corners and sanding the edges to add contrast to the card. Finally I added a piece of ephemera and another of the Acrylic words attached with a clip.
I cant wait to find an excuse to give my cards away to let someone know I love them!
The Hawthorne collection is the perfect place to start you next card making session! I hope Have inspired you to get creating!
