Eeek! I am SO excited to share this post with you all today. I am sure many of you are all like me and are beyond obsessed with the beautiful wooden words we have all seen in Heidi’s signature handwriting. Well….there is now an amazing brand NEW collection of Heidi Swapp Wall Art setting in Michaels Stores soon and you guessed it…it’s a huge collection of signature script wall words! Yes! You can check out the entire collection of wall art words here. You won’t want to miss it!
For today’s tutorial I am using the ‘blessed’ word from the collection.
One of my favourite ways to decorate and customize these wood wall art words is with Marquee Love Glitter.
Trust me the effect is amazing. I know there are many out there who have an absolute phobia of glitter. Trust me, I get it! It’s not the cleanest craft out there but hopefully my very easy (little to NO mess tutorial) will convince you that it IS possible to use glitter without the anxiety!
Let’s DO this!
So to begin you will need the following supplies:
–Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Glue (this stuff works amazingly with glitter and adheres the chunky glitter like a dream!)
–Desired color of glitter. I am using the rose gold Marquee Love glitter. I just have transferred the glitter into a jar as I love displaying jars of glitter in my studio space.
–Application tool (paint brush and/or foam brush)
Once you have your supplies, this next part is essential.
A glitter tray. This will make your life a WHOLE lot easier when it comes to clean up. What is a glitter tray? Really anything that will capture the excess and allow you to simply place it back into it’s container.
What is awesome about my tray above is that I am actually using the packaging from the Heidi Swapp Gallery Wall frame that is part of this project. Dual use…I love it! This packaging works amazing as a glitter tray so do not throw it out!
Ok so let’s get glittering!
Step 1: Liberally apply the glue to the top surface of the word using your brush. You want a lot of glue so that it really adheres to the glitter.
Step 2: Generously pour glitter over top the glue.
Step 3: Shake off and reveal your gorgeous glittered wall art!
Once you are complete (and this literally takes NO time at all) you will be WOWED by the amazing transformation.
Take your wall art wood one step further like I did and apply it to a Heidi Swapp gallery wall frame using just a small amount of hot glue and place on your frame.
And there you have it!
A beautiful gallery wall decor piece that is customized for your space. These also make amazing accents to photograph gift giving! Place a word onto a frame and have your recipient place in their own favourite photo. I just know they will love it.
