Hello everyone! Gosh…can you believe we are almost at the end of July?!? It seriously is crazy. I am still trying to wrap my head around it….especially as I was working on my Memory Planner these last few days.
It is quite amazing to me how we get to this point so quickly. Yet, looking back I am beyond grateful for everything that I have took the time to capture and record in my planner this month.
I love looking back and reading through all of the randomness and photos that I have collected. Truly a life treasure in my books!
Personally, we are still trying to adjust and welcome in our “new normal” as we have gone from a family of 3 to now a family of 4. This has been one of our greatest joys, yet of course significantly alters what we were used to. For myself especially this really boils down to a lack of extra time. However I am SO glad that I am taking whatever time I can get to make a point to work in my Memory Planner as much as I can, and at this point I am just really focusing on photos and words. To me at the end of the day this is all that matters to me and what I don’t have extra time for….I am OK with that. Having another baby has made me realize a lot of things about time. How fast it goes, how we never seem to have enough of it….to appreciate every second. That is why now more than ever I am SO appreciative of my Memory Planner.
Using my ZINK printer I was able to print out a ton of mini sized photos for my dashboard page. I love that it serves as a highlight reel of the month showcasing many of the moments we shared together.
Keeping my calendar up to date has really been key to me being able to fill in my planner pages when I have missed a few days or have fell behind. This tool, along with having my photos organized by date on my iPhone, enable me to catch up super quick. I love that I do not have to feel panic if I fall behind….which let’s be honest…happens a lot! LOL.
I love adding in transparent pieces into my planner every now and again and this folder was meant for my July. Life can get SUPER overwhelming and choosing to keep smiling and focusing on the joys is definitely a form of courage for sure!
Another element I have been using this month (and going forward) are pieces from the Storyline collection. The Deck of Days kits are really wonderful tools because not only do they look beautiful in and on planner pages, but they are filled with wonderful prompts and words that can help you jump start your journaling when you often do not know what to say. I love that part about them and I have used them a lot within my pages this month.
July 1st is truly the kick off to summer in Canada. Not only is it the beginning of the month, but it is also Canada Day. I love these photos of my two babes in red. XO
More mini photos, deck of days and even an Instax filler card with Typecast journaling made it’s way onto this spread for that first week.
One of my goals for next month is to even work on adding more detailed journaling, especially with a newborn who is changing at lightning speed.
One of my latest obsessions to add to my Memory Planner are these gorgeous Storyline adhesive backed journaling spots. I love using them whenever I can. This one I added a quote onto using my Typecast and adhered it slightly off centre so I could trim off the edge. I love how it came together.
This top Deck of Days card is one of my favourites, not only for color but the message. A great way to begin a week don’t you think?
It really is amazing to think of all the moments and stories I have collected and documented since starting a Memory Planner. My very first Memory Planner was started when I had my first born son who is now 3 years old. I have tons of photos and stories of him collected, and now I can create the same with my daughter. How precious time is and what a gift to be able to have the opportunity to write them down. I am really looking forward to what August will bring!
