Magnolia Jane Photo Journal

No matter how many ways there are out there to celebrate one’s photos, there is nothing like PRINTING them and placing them into an actual album.  Holding your memories close, physically admiring them in your hands.  Photographs are truly a treasure.  Like one of my favourite quotes states: “we take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone”. Isn’t that the truth.  Time is so fleeting.  So are our memories.  That is why now more than ever, photographs are so precious to take.

Documenting them has also never been easier. How you ask? Enter photo journals.  These beautiful albums are just waiting to be filled with your life stories.

Today I am sharing an inside look into one of my very own photo journals.  I chose to use the Magnolia Jane Floral Photo Journal.  Inside this album is home to personal candid moments of my life, along with the stories.

Most (if not all) of these moments were randomly captured with my iPhone.  I think most of us these days capture so much of our lives with our phones.  While this is great, I cannot emphasize more how important it is to PRINT these pictures.  Trust me on this.  It is SO WORTH IT.

Life is moving faster than ever these days and telling our stories is so important to do.  We always think we will remember.  However, the truth is….moments fade, the memories get fainter and we are quickly moving with life and on to the next thing.  I am using this Photo Journal, as a journal.  A place to keep my photos and tell their stories.

Let’s take a look inside.

I added in a Magnolia Jane tag into my album.  I then used my We R Memories Typecast to add a quote onto the tag.  I love this tag, and quote.  Together they make such a cute addition into my album.  I simply secured the tag into my book with a gold Magnolia Jane clip.

These photo journals are truly blank canvases and allow you to be as creative as you wish. Multiple photos, stickers, stamping and washi make for the simplest (yet eye catching) embellishments.  And as always, the lined pages make the perfect home for ones precious stories.

The Magnolia Jane DIY Notebook Tabs that come separately also make beautiful additions into the photo journals.  I simply trimmed off the punched edge, measured to size and using my stapler adhered it onto an album page.  Not only does it add gorgeous design into my book, but the transparent tabs are super fun and look really cute sticking out the edge.

Adding photos of various sizes into my photo journal is one of my favourite techniques.

I absolutely adore the large gold alpha stickers.  They not only look amazing but add such great impact when using them to create a fun title.

As 2017 carries on I will be adding more memories and more stories into this beautiful journal.  It is already amazing to me as I look back how many moments I have been able to capture, and now remember, because of this little book.

There is nothing better than returning to the roots, to the foundation of something.  There is a lot of comfort to be found there.  No matter how fast life moves, or how the trends change, memory keeping will ALWAYS be that: memory keeping.  Taking a photo, printing a photo, and telling the story.  Photo Journals are here to keep your memories safe, celebrated and always close to your heart.

Thank you all for allowing me to share a bit of my heart with you today.
