Happy Monday everyone and welcome to April!
Today I want to talk Memory Planner, and how I have begun to “reset” my planner for the month ahead. I always love a fresh new month. So much possibility and room to make things happen that perhaps didn’t all happen last month. Hey, we’ve all been there! Just gotta keep on, keeping on…right?!?
The month of April is always a busy one for me and my family. We have TONS of birthdays happening this month, plus Easter AND I officially reach 30 weeks in my pregnancy…what?!? I know! So crazy. I cannot believe we are already in the 4th month of 2017. Where oh where is that pause button?
For 2017 the primary “Memory Planner” I am using is the large 6×8 LOVE TODAY Memory Planner. However, I also love the traditional planner spreads found in the large gold 6×8. So what I decided to do this month was take out April’s month from the gold planner and insert it into my Love Today planner. That way I have a bit more variation to play with the different layout and it adds a little different look for this month. The best of both worlds 🙂
I added in one of the personal sized Memory Planner transparent dividers. I love how beautiful these dividers are. They are foiled, come with beautiful sentiments and are perfect for layering.
My dashboard page is beginning to fill up. Usually this page is a “work in progress” throughout the present month.
Right now, I have added a resonating quote/mantra for the month. A list of personal goals I am working on this month, my “to-do’s” and an Instax selfie. I love incorporating a photo on this page (whether it is a selfie shot or a family photo) because once my planner is complete it’s really amazing to look back on the progress and the memories of how we looked and where we were at that point in the year.
My calendar page has quickly come together for me this month and I am getting better at navigating these monthly spreads and really jotting down the information that I want to remember.
Last month I put together a you tube video showcasing how I began to assemble my April calendar. You can watch that video here:
It is amazing how the little everyday things add up at the end of the month to such a treasured display of memories. I know I will be so thankful I wrote all these little notes down.
Sometimes, depending when the month starts I am left with large blank open spaces in my planner. I do not really like to leave them blank, so this month I simply trimmed a piece of a favourite Heidi Swapp pattern paper to size and laid it over top the blank weekly page. I added a clip and a place to write a note. Simple, yet not blank.
When it comes to my weekly pages, I simply just journal and embellish with how I am feeling that day. I do not really follow a “plan”, I just go with it. I think that is one thing I love so much in working with my planner. It is truly an outlet to “let it out”. To journal, note take and be creative with no pressure or desire for perfection. It is completely my personal space to just BE and capture my real life right now.
One huge goal I am working on this month is to write a gratitude list at the back page of my month.
I want to list something everyday for the entire month of April on this page that has brought me gratitude. I have not done this for awhile and I really miss it. Gratitude lists are such an incredible source of inspiration for me and I really wanted to incorporate one into my planner this month.
