Ombre foil is to me the hot new trend in scrapbooking! It is just so easy to create a title with a big and beautiful impact in one easy step. With Heidi’s new Teal and Silver ombre foil it is even easier.
My layout today I left quite simple because I wanted the focus to be on the stunning foiled brushstroke title. I must confess I cheated a little with my brushstroke and found a Free font online to give me the perfect technique.
I love the variegated colour that the Ombre foil creates down my page…
It’s not often I get to add pink to my layouts having two boys so when ever I get the chance I do. Having a little best friend who is a girl with her hot pink goggles on allowed me to add pops of pink from the Pink Washi pack and stickers available at Michaels.
I added a few splashes of the new Minc Reactive Mist to the the tab and ran it through my Minc with some of the new foil. I then stapled it to my photo to finish.
Let me share a quick tutorial about how my layout came together.
Ombre Layout Tutorial
Step 1. Find a Free Brush script font online and download it to your computer. In a word processing program type out your favorite quote and print it out on a Laser printer.
Step 2. Run your printed quote through your Minc machine with the Teal and Silver Ombre foil.
Step 3. Lay your printed and foiled card stock onto another sheet of white 12 x 12 cardstock, add some striped pattern paper and stitch in place with your sewing machine.
Step 4. Add your photos to the layout.
Step 5. Accentuate the corners of your photos with washi tape strips
Step 6. Sprit a tab with the Reactive Mist, allow to dry then run it through your Minc with Black foil.
Finish your layout by adding your typed strip journaling and puffy sticker to your photo complete.
