By now there has been quite a bit of excitement about Heidi’s new Storyline Collection. It’s this fresh and clean and easy way to get our stories written down. Out of our cameras. Off of our hard drives. And into beautiful albums.
Wanting to do something really special with this new 8 1/2×11 Kraft album, I decided to make it an album highlighting the people in my life. It’s a focused album of a bit of story telling about certain folks that make up my life.
I will be using the Motivational Deck of Days along with the Peony Journal Sticker Kit. One of the aspects of this collection that I really do like is how I can limit myself to two kits, like the Deck of Days and the Sticker Kit, and keep it super simple while giving emphasis to the photos and story.
Already I have started adding to the So Many Beautiful Reasons to Smile album. Because a story of a brand new baby with his great grandma is of one of the best kind of stories to be found in this here album.
Today I will show you another story found in my Storyline album. This one is of my littlest guy. He is struggling with reading. We work on his reading goals all the time. I found him camped out atop the ottoman one afternoon reading one of our favorites. Put Me In the Zoo.
Watch how easy this is to place a few embellishments and photos and words on this page.
I am finding myself going back to 4×6 photo sizes. This adds even more to the simplicity of Storyline. For this page two of the photos are 4×6 and then I trimmed down a third photo to about 3×3-inches.
These photos were easily put in place on the included 8 1/2 x 11 page.
Next was placed the die cut heart from the Motivational Deck of Days. Then I added the date, a journal square and word phrase stickers that are included in the Journal Kit.
At this point we are not even at 15 minutes of time yet.
To me, the most important aspect next to the photos…the words.
As I started this new year and thought through how I wanted my albums and stories to look, I knew I wanted to make allowance for more story. Storyline is helping that goal right along.
Today’s post was to introduce you to Storyline. To show you how simple it is to put these stories in beautiful albums. To prompt thought about the importance of the stories of everyday. And most of all, to inspire YOU to tell your story with the beauty and simplicity of Storyline. I hope I have succeeded.
