Last Thursday night, Heidi hosted a free online event/class right from her home…did you see it???
It was amazing…as are all of Heidi’s classes…and it left me feeling renewed and energized about my documenting & storytelling…as do all of Heidi’s classes.
As soon as class was over, I printed out some photos from the day trip we made just hours before, grabbed some Storyline pieces and told the story of our trip to Starved Rock State Park…in under 30 minutes.
I was especially inspired when Heidi sat down and created a few of her own pages – start to finish – right there on camera…
…in about 10 minutes.
Yep. About 10 minutes.
And yes, even though Heidi is the queen of scrapbooking, getting these pages done in virtually no time at all is something ANYONE can do.
You simply add your “WHO,” “WHAT,” and “WHERE,” jot down a few of the important details and you’re done.
I know…it’s crazy.
Heidi often comments that all you need to unlock your memories of an important event are a few photos and some important details…and she’s right.
When you have those things, and you start to remember them, your mind will open and a flood of detail about the date will come forward…and those memories will lead to more memories…it’s just so cool.
I love listening to Heidi talk about her passion for memory-keeping…I never tire of it.
And now, getting those stories told is easier than ever.
You don’t need to be fancy.
You don’t need to worry about matching your paper to the colors in your photos.
You don’t need to spend hours finishing just one page…(face it, we’ve ALL done it).
You just need to write stuff down.
You will thank yourself someday.
And don’t worry about being behind.
JUST START WHERE YOU ARE!
Tell your stories.
You can totally do this.
Thank you so much for taking a look!
