Happy Summer to you…or should I say Happy Winter to you from Downunder Brisbane Australia. Living in this beautiful city you can sometimes mistake our Winter for Summer because our Winter’s are so mild and some days and weeks so warm it could almost be a Summers day. Recently my family and I visited a local beach to enjoy the warm days and I couldn’t wait to get the memory recorded in my scrapbooks.
I thought the warm colors in the Pineapple Crush collection were the perfect starting point for my layout.
I started with the stunning striped “cabana” pattern paper from the Pineapple Crush collection, I am in love with the ombre effect created by the stripes.
I then used my Silhouette Cameo and this fun Summer cut file from Paige Evans that I downloaded from the Silhouette Design store and cut out onto white American Crafts Textured White cardstock. I used foam tape to pop the sun cut file up off the page for some dimension and shadow.
I then grabbed my Pineapple Crush ephemera pack and added some pieces in and around the title. Adhering the clear pieces with a few drops of clear liquid adhesive.
I added my strip journaling to the top of my cut file , adding some foam tape underneath the strips to create the raised effect.
Finally I added my photos by tucking them into the sun’s rays and adding some more of the clear ephemera pieces to the photo , using my tiny attacher to adhere them to my photos. I added my subtitle by adhering the Glitter alphabets over the cut file.
I love how quick and easy this layout was to create, combining the bold striped pattern paper with the cut file was such an easy way get my story done and recorded….grab some of your Summer photos and get creating with Pineapple Crush, it so easy and so fun!
