Use Your Chalk Art for a Positive Message for Your Kids!

Recently in Australia my boys were involved in some nation wide testing that went for three days. This testing period can be quite stressful for everyone me included, so I  wanted to create a little keepsake for my boys to let them know how much I love them and how proud of them I am!

I wanted to make a big impact so I thought what better way than to use some of the new Chalk Art Sprays and Stencils !

I grabbed my Game Day and Happy Summer large stencils and set out to design my background. I started off with that large number 1 hand mitt as the centre of my design. I added in the stars from the same stencil, then added those random dots from the Celebrate Large Stencil. For a final touch I used the Fun Starts now stencil from the Fun Starts Now small Stencil set.

For my design I used the blue, green, yellow, teal and white Chalk Art Sprays. I love the freshness this color combination creates!

You can see how I combined the different stencils ( this one is part of the Happy Days Large Stencil set) by spraying with the chalk then layering the stencils over the top of  areas to create the design I want.

I then masked off areas I didn’t want with some newspaper to avoid overspray  and sprayed with the green Chalk Art Spray.

Now this is where my boys were involved! I asked them both to lay down on the tiles and raise their hand as if to be holding the mitt in their hand! There were lots of giggles and repositioning and smiles and photos to get the perfect shot!

When my youngest laid down he immediately  looked up to the mitt and I thought that was such an awesome view so  we took lots of photos with him in this pose!

I then sent my husband down to our local shops for a couple of white frames ( he is good like that!) while I edited and printed off a set of photos!

Once I printed off the photos I popped them into the white frames, I love how the white makes the photos pop!

My boys have their photos displayed in their bedrooms. I hope each morning when they wake up and they look at their photos they know how much they are loved!
