Hello, hello all!
Maggie here with a QUICK & EASY project for your pantry that you can finish in no time at all!
One of my resolutions for 2017 is to be more prepared for dinner time. There’s nothing worse that having that clock strike 3 pm and you still have NO IDEA what you’re feeding your family that night.
Now, I’ve tried the weekly & monthly menu-planning…and I just haven’t been able to make it a habit. So, now I’m trying something just a little different.
Instead of writing out in advance what we’ll be having for dinner each night, I’m just adding favorite recipes to a clipboard hanging inside our pantry.
Every few days I’ll shop for what we need and boom, done! This way I won’t have to think too far in advance (I’m sooo not good at that)…and I can change up what I’m making depending on how the day goes. Plus, I’ll have the recipes close at hand when it comes time to cook!
Here’s how my project came together…
I gathered up my supplies:
A clipboard (from Heidi’s Gallery Wall collection)
OK…seriously…4 items? This is my kind of project…
Next, I painted my chosen wall word – EAT – a pretty easy choice for kitchen decor – with some metallic acrylic paint from DecoArt.
This is the coolest paint! It leaves a beautiful metallic finish and it covers in just a few coats!
I’m a huge fan of non-permanent home decor that I can switch up and use again and again – so I attached my word to my clipboard using Sticky Thumb foam tabs. They hold my word firmly, but I can remove them with minimal work.
And guess what…I’M DONE!
EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY!
I used a Command Hook to hang my clipboard…and tucked some recipe cards under the clip.
See that metallic shine?!
It’s really just a fun, easy & DARLING way to dress up our pantry. Now let’s hope it helps to stop that question that every mom dreads:
What’s for dinner????????
Now THEY can decide…as long as they choose from the recipes I’ve clipped up…(smile).
Thanks so much for taking a look!
Remember, your home decor projects don’t need to be complicated to have BIG impact!
