This project’s soft colors and subtle sweetness put such a smile on my face!
Ranjini definitely worked her ‘magic’ to create this amazing Memory File project. I asked Ranjini to create a Memory File specifically… I love her style, and I was excited to see her take … i LOVE it! I think that since I instinctively reach for super bright and vivid, super high-contrast color combos, when I see such a soft and beautiful pallet, I am SO inspired! I love the pale colors mixed with the super fun pop of the ‘fabulous’ cheetah pennant. Ranjini has that special touch that mixes simple with elegance, and seems to happen with such ease!
Here’s what Ranjini has to say about her gorgeous project:
I cut a strip about 2.75″ wide off the end of the Memory File. I wanted to give subtle, iridescent color to the file. The pattern on the file reminded me of the seashore and boats being tossed on the waves. I used LuminArte Watercolor Paints, layering various colors on all the Color Magic pieces I used. It’s hard to see from the photos but the file looks like it has the colors of a seashell. The paints leave a luminous, subtle shimmery finish.
After painting the Memory File, I wanted to add a burst of color to the front, so I added the Sugar Chic Pennant, Color Magic Banners, Trimmings Sunshine and a file tab label sticker. I covered the inside of the file folder with Sugar Chic Remember paper and then added a photostack openable, a photo caption (“epic”), another file tab label sticker, Heidi’s instaframe rubons and stamped sentiments from Heidi’s Clear Stamps. I absolutely LOVE the Sugar Chic Buzz Words – they add so much fabulous pop and color – and in Heidi’s signature script, to boot! I kept the project simple but with a few of Heidi’s embellishments, it delivers such a strong impact in a subtle, stylish way!
Thanks Ranjini! LOVE what you did! I’m off to find some LUMINART!
