Last month the Heidi Swapp Media Team came together for the first time in five years while at the Creativation Show. We all knew we had to get some photos of us together once again. We were so grateful to Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy) to take the time out to snap some fun photos of the team. It wouldn’t be the same if I had just kept those photos on our camera roll instead of printing them out to document the moment.
See, this photo has my heart. These girls are my sisters, friends, and co-workers. Can you believe we talk and work daily with each other and this is the first time we ALL have been photographed together in five years?!! Moments like these are treasured and need to be printed and placed in an album to look at always. Heidi Swapp’s newest Magnolia Jane collection is beautiful enough to do the job!
Here are a few of my favorite things from the collection…
The new tags are printed on black with Minc Reactive Ink and then I foiled them in gold!
The patterned papers are soft and elegant.
The ephemera is already in a gold and Kraft. I just stuck them right down on the page!
The gold clear acetate words are the perfect touch for a special title. I also love how I can match favorite American Craft Thickers because this collection has that classic look.
To make these Cork DIY Shop Thickers alphabet stickers foiled on the bottom, I followed my tutorial to make foiled stickers below. With these, I have taped off the bottom with washi tape before painting to get that clean edge. Then I removed the washi tape before foiling.
Also, I love to cut a non-stick craft mat to fit into the Minc and then use that to put my stickers on before adding the foil and transfer folder. I feel like the non-stick craft mat helps my stickers stay sticky backed!
Magnolia Jane will be in independent, online, and select Jo-Ann stores very soon!
