Hello everyone and welcome back to MINC it Monday!
I am SO excited to share with you a little MINC DIY that you can use for your LightBox! Yes…for your LightBox! 😉 . Let me show you how!
The supplies you will need for this DIY are:
-MINC Foil Applicator Machine
-MINC Reactive Foil (desired color of choice)
-MINC Reactive Art Screen Medium & Application Tool
-Desired Art Screen (any screen pattern will work)
-MINC Acetate Sheets
-LightBox (any size will work)
OK, so let’s break this DIY down into some very basic steps.
Step 1: Select a MINC Acetate sheet.
Place on a craft mat.
Apply your desired art screen pattern on top of the acetate sheet. Secure with washi tape.
Step 2: Apply MINC Reactive Art Screen Medium onto the top of your art screen.
Using your application tool drag the medium down to cover the entire pattern of the screen.
Step 3: Remove washi tape from sides and gently peel back the art screen to reveal your image.
Step 4: Set aside your acetate sheet to fully dry.
Step 5: Choose your Reactive foil colour.
I am using the MINC Reactive Foil in Rose Gold.
Step 6: Place your acetate sheet into a transfer folder and apply foil on top.
Step 7: Place into the MINC Foil Application Machine on heat setting 2.
Step 8: Remove transfer folder and foil from your acetate sheet to reveal a gorgeous foiled image.
Step 9: Create your custom MINC LightBox slides!
I am using the mini LightBox for this demo, but the same technique will also work for the large LightBox as well.
Step 10: Use a LightBox insert as a template, and cut into 4 slides.
step 11: Place acetate slides inside your LightBox along with your desired statement.
Voila! And there you have it! Gorgeous foiled LightBox slides made using your MINC machine. How awesome right?!? Just think of all the creative possibilities out there using this very basic technique, acetate sheets and art screens! Oh and don’t forget the million MINC foil colours out there to choose from! SO. MUCH. FUN!
Thanks for stopping by this week. Have an awesome “MINC IT” Monday! 🙂
