I love Minc It Monday. It’s always fun to show up here on Monday and see what the Media Team has come up with using all things Heidi Swapp Minc Collection. Every time I dive into this collection there always seems to be something new to discover. Today’s Minc It Monday will show an easy way to add foil and interest to a planner page.
A few supplies that will be needed to make this project:
Laser Printer (see sidebar for Heidi’s printer of choice)
To create today’s project, I used the Rhonna Designs app on my phone. The idea was to print the ‘seriously blessed’ word art to Minc Vellum. Run the vellum through the machine with Champagne Foil, and then trim the vellum down to fit over a pocket page of photos in my planner.
Once the word art was created in Rhonna Designs, I sent it to my computer. From there it was added to an 8 1/2 x 11 document in Photoshop Elements. I added a 5×7 border around the art work so I had a cutting guide. Then it was printed on the vellum with a laser printer. The laser printer prints with toner ink which is what is needed to react with the Minc Foil.
After running the vellum through the machine with Champagne Foil, the piece was trimmed down, holes were punched, and it was added to my planner.
In this quick video I take you through each of the steps so you too can add foiled art work to your planner:
I simply love how simple it is to take word art and make it pretty and useful in my planner.
This technique could be a little addictive. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
