My favourite way to capture the everyday moments of my family is using my Time Flies Memory Planner. It allows me to document with photos, quotes, journaling and memorabilia that tells the “story” of my family. I love that the prompt page at the start of each month lets me focus on someone or something special in my family’s life. This month it is my oldest son’s birthday!
However it is also the month of Halloween so I have created a fun printable that you can download and add to your planner as well!
Everything I have used in this months pages including the Time Flies Memory Planner and printable you can find at your local Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts store. Now as October is not completely over yet my pages are a work in progress but I couldn’t wait to share existing pages with you.
Let’s start with the Prompt page. As I mentioned above it is my eldest son’s 11th birthday this month so he was the focus of my page. I added a 4×4 photo and one of the large square Memory Planner cards along side the photo. I punched out with a couple of sized circle punches a few kraft embellishments using the Inserts and Stickers pack and then trimmed one of the clear dividers to layer over the photo for a fun effect.
I adhered one of the small vellum envelopes to add some Halloween decor photos from around my house as a nod to Halloween later in the month.
Next comes the pocket page. I slipped in my photos and then added some typed journalling.
I adhered that cute little Unicorn charm from Maggie Holmes to match the theme of my photo.
Turning the page you will find my Halloween printable. ( Find the printable at the end of my post). I printed it off onto vellum and added it into my planner. (I have a full step x step below on how to print, foil and add the printable in my planner).
I added another Memory Planner card which i stapled to the printable to help turn it.
Finally my calendar page. As you can see it is not complete yet , as the month progresses I will add to it. I used one of the calendar stickers to embellish my page then added stamping, stickers and punched stars.
Let me share how easy it was to add my Halloween printable into my spiral bound planner.
Step 1. Print off the printable onto paper or vellum using a laser printer. Run it through your Minc machine using your choice of colored foil. I have used Black. Finally run the printable though the Minc again this time using one of the lamination pouches and trim the laminated piece to size.
Step 2. Next I used my Heidi cinch to punch holes down the left side of the printable. You could also use a hole punch and punch each hole separately.
Step 3. Then I used a pair of scissors to snip into each hole from the outside edge.
Step 4. Finally push the printable into the spiral
Step 5. You can add an embellishment to the side to help it turn like it have if you want.
