Clubheidilayoutrev2_01

Alrighteee..
We are finally ready to unveil the very first “club heidi” kit, at the brand new “club heidi” website…

Here is the story:
When you go to www.clubheidi.com, you will see a button that says “july”…when you click on that button, you will then see a photo of everything included in the july kit, along with an itemized list. Along the top, you will see 2 buttons: registration and ideas…
The registration for the kit will open on July 2nd… but between now and then you can check out the inspiration and ideas that go along with the items included in the kit.
The ideas section will have 4 sections:
1.    project idea: this will have a downloadable pdf w/ instructions and stuff…
2.    a focus on the JUST FOR LOOKS book… where we pull out layouts featured in the book, that have items offered in that month’s kit.
3.    Technique feature: this will change each month…but this is a more how-to section
4.    Gallery… these are just fun  random projects that are sure to excite and inspire!

You don’t have to buy the kit to get in on the ideas and how-to info! So if you already have this stuff in your stash, still check out the ideas for a little new insight!

Registration for the JULY kit will open at 9am Pacific time on MONDAY, JULY 2nd.

    Thanks
    Janelle

    Thanks!

  14. LenaS 28 June, 2007 at 3:01 am

I’m going to check out the Doctor Link…thanks so much for sharing the info. With my hormones slowing down I need Xtra help.

    ??

  18. Cyndi 28 June, 2007 at 7:49 am

I see that spray paint was used. Any particular brand? Which one is ok for SBs? Help! I love that technique.

  19. Niecole 28 June, 2007 at 7:58 am

    Love it!
I do want to say is that I would have never known to click the “July Button” to see the kit if you would have not posted it on your blog. It doesn’t look like a button at all, it just looks like part of the page.
Your new website is smashing baby! I am very exciting you are doing this. These kits are going to sell like Hot Cakes, great idea!

  20. Barb 28 June, 2007 at 9:22 am

You have done it again – another perfect example of how to run a business and keep us on our toes!!! I am one of your Year To Remember BPS students and I have totally fallen in love with your products. I now have a bin specifically labeled “Heidi” that is brimming with goodies. Keep up the good work. AND…good luck with your upcoming delivery. I am thinking about you.

This is the best news ever! Club Heidi, I LOVE it! Please say you’ll ship to the UK?

  30. Allie Gower 29 June, 2007 at 7:12 am

You’ve been tagged. Not sure if you have time to play, but if you do, head to scrapncook.blogspot.com for to read the rules and keep the game afoot.
    Happy Scrapping!

  31. Cindy C. T. 29 June, 2007 at 8:20 am

Thanks Erin, I just ordered them! Can’t wait to use them. Thanks again.

  32. Beth Sammons 29 June, 2007 at 11:19 am

    HI Heidi
I really hope you read this because have I got the treat for you!! PINK CHEX MIX!! You can either make it cherry or strawberry but it is the prettiest thing!! I kinda concocted the recipe myself – I would love to send you some or the recipe if you want (but if I remember correctly you aren’t into cooking 😉 I understand if you don’t accept food from people though! LMK if you are interested!! I have a cute pic to send with it!

  33. scrapbook retailer 29 June, 2007 at 11:19 am

I think this is shocking and shameful.
I hope all your wholesale customers stop selling your product in their stores. When they are buying at the same price you are selling to the public, this should be the end of retail pricing.

  34. Kathryn (aka kate) 29 June, 2007 at 12:38 pm

    Oh brother!
    Give me a break…

  35. Kell 29 June, 2007 at 3:00 pm

Congrats on getting it going! I bet you will be flooded with orders!

  36. also a scrapbook retailer 29 June, 2007 at 8:34 pm

I agree with – Posted by: scrapbook retailer | June 29, 2007 at 11:19 AM – you should be working with your retailers, not against. I know personally, our store has had such problems with your customer service we have quite ordering from you guys. That, and the quality of your products have declined.

  37. Sheila 30 June, 2007 at 8:06 am

I don’t have a LSS in my area, so this is GREAT! I really appreciate that you’re keeping it under $25. Thank you!

  38. Paula Martone 30 June, 2007 at 8:23 am

got a little too anxious this am and thought today was the day to register and purchase the kit. Soo, anyhoo went back and read your blog again and realized it wasnt until the 2nd of July. See how excited I am about getting the kit??

  39. Caroline 30 June, 2007 at 8:29 am

    Thank you Heidi
this is a great opportunity to get your product there isn’t a local LSS in my area either, and the closest one has very little in (not any of the product in the kit), of
Heidi swapp products. Can’t wait until 7/2/07, and then all the upcoming months.
To all you retailers out there your complaint should be against the internet, not Heidi. You can get more at scrapbooking websties for everybodies product than at scrapbooking retailer stores. These kits are just a small amount of Heidi product put together to help us and inspire some of us to create beautiful pages that coordinate with heidi’s book.
So PROPS to you heidi you totally ROCK.
    keep it up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Kathy 30 June, 2007 at 10:37 am

To “scrapbook retailer” and “also a scrapbook retailer”: Did you quite ordering Heidi’s product, or quit? Looks like you might have some other troubles going on….Have you ever heard of the saying “Don’t go away mad, just GO AWAY!!”

  41. LaurieinCanada 30 June, 2007 at 2:04 pm

Heidi – I have never ordered an online kit, and am quite conservative with my scrapping dollars, but this kit looks wonderful! I hope I hope I can get one! I have admired your style and creativity for a long time. Thanks for putting this together!!!

  42. beth l 30 June, 2007 at 6:23 pm

cool heidi! this looks so fun. thank you for sharing the ideas and the gallery with everyone-i have a HUGE heidi swapp stash, and love seeing more ways to use it up.
also, thank you from the very bottom of my eastern-time zone heart for putting these on sale at a reasonable hour that is not midnight mountain or pacific time! it is too hard for us east coast girls to stay up that late to order kits.
    love it!
    beth l.

  43. Patricia 1 July, 2007 at 9:11 am

Your style and your products are so cool. It’s been almost a year since I started scrapbooking. The magazines and some of the books I had gotten to start out made me even more clueless as to where to begin with so many products, ideas, rules, and tastes. But since being in your A Year to Remember class, I’ve moved from just watching and reading to actually doing pages and projects. So I am so excited that you are doing the Club Heidi because I will really miss your year-long class when it’s over. It’s a win/win for you and for us. You can, hopefully, have more time to take care of yourself and your family and we can still be challenged to learn really cool things from you.
Thank you, Heidi, and your team!! Patricia

  44. Emily 1 July, 2007 at 9:28 am

Cannot wait to get my little hands on this kit!
    love it!

  45. Jessi 1 July, 2007 at 1:49 pm

Click on the “July” icon-new window. $24.99 for a LOOT of stuff!
Can’t wait-hope I can get my hands on this kit–I’m so pumped, my whole morning will be centered around hoping that I “get in” on the first HS club kit ever!!! Woohooo!! (Now I’ll be livid if my friends get it-the ones I shared this w/ and I don’t! I just may have to do me a five finger lift in their scraprooms if that happens! LOL!)

  46. Michelle 1 July, 2007 at 4:31 pm

Congrats on the unveiling of your new kit! It looks great. Can’t wait to see lots lots more.

  47. Cindy McDannold 1 July, 2007 at 10:15 pm

I love the kit, but Heidi, 9:00 am Pacific Time…isn’t everyone in the United States at work at that time? I live in Illinois and it will be 11:00 am for me. Don’t think my employer would appreciate me using the computer at work. I’m still trying to find a way to order. Love the kit idea. Cindy

  48. LenaS 2 July, 2007 at 4:45 am

Here’s a question for you–will the kits come in your really great 8×11 upright signature plastic storage cases? Because I already have most of what’s in the July kit but I would buy one just to get another one of your storage boxes!! Good Luck today, hope the registration goes smoothly. Baby Prayers too!

  49. Genie 2 July, 2007 at 9:06 am

I have been trying to get in at 9AM pacific time, noon east coast time…….It’s 12:05pm and I can’t get in…..Is it up?

  59. Annema 2 July, 2007 at 9:35 am

Still can’t get in… tried logging out and in and tried scrapbook.com. I am really bummed… I am sure that they are gone now, and I have to go out in about a half an hour anyway, so I can’t try for much longer 🙁

  60. Julie James 2 July, 2007 at 9:36 am

I can’t get it either!!! I am really sad! I have tried to re-log in and it just wont work for me.

  61. Keely 2 July, 2007 at 9:39 am

  62. Lisa 2 July, 2007 at 9:39 am

I got up at 1.30 am Australian time and i got a kit before it would have been 9am edt there. Im so excited. but i paid $24 postage. Oh well still is cheaper (way cheaper) that buying all that indervidually here! Will international orders be receiving a discounted postage in the future. i wont be able to afford it every month if its postage at that price. That could have been too kits!! But im still woo hooing!!! I cant’ seem to register for the club though?
Good luck with the new addition Heidi. Ill be thinking of you. xx

  63. Cindy C. T. 2 July, 2007 at 9:54 am

  64. Tricia 2 July, 2007 at 9:54 am

  65. Annemarie Flynn 2 July, 2007 at 9:55 am

Tried it all… still no go. I have to go out now too… this is going to bum me out all day….rats!

  66. Mary 2 July, 2007 at 10:27 am

I want to comment on the store owners that have indicated disgust with this venture. Not every place can be everything to everybody. There are many of us that do not have a LSS…mine is over an hour away. She carries very little of Heidi’s stuff, and the only outlet I have for Heidi product is the chain stores or online. At least for me, and I am one of those scrappers on a limited budget, something like this only fuels my creativity and excitement. I bought it today, but the next time I can make it to my LSS, I won’t spend any less there. Chances are I would look for more stuff that I typically wouldn’t buy to use with it. It would only supplement my purchases not replace them.
Instead of criticizing the effort and excitement, you should find ways to harness it into increasing excitement at your own stores….If you have issues with Heidi or her company, you shouldn’t be airing your dirty laundry on this website, and I don’t think you would have said the things you did if you had the courtesy to list your shop name. It’s easy to say things behind an screen name. If I were your customer, I would be disappointed in you.

  67. LaurieinCanada 2 July, 2007 at 10:29 am

Thanks to the person who suggested clearing cookies, closing browser and trying again – that worked great! Thanks for the tip. YAY!

  68. Cindy C. T. 2 July, 2007 at 11:24 am

I just wanted to note that I can never find enough HS supplies. So I love the fact that we can order a kit and get exactly what we need. For all the disgruntled retailers….. shame on you! Why should you guys be the only ones to get a great deal. And I highly doubt that her products have declined in quality. Sounds to me like you are just sour grapes. Why don’t you post your store’s name, and we’ll be sure NOT to visit you.

  69. Jessi 2 July, 2007 at 11:36 am

Keep trying ladies–some are still available (it’s 2:40 EST) and they’ve re-vamped the front page of the Heidi Club site….Not too late!

  70. kimberly 2 July, 2007 at 12:44 pm

hey ladies click on the about club heidi and the club kit pops up with the shopping cart to buy i just figured it out good luck

  71. Susan in FL 2 July, 2007 at 3:08 pm

Hello fellow HS fans! I too had trouble ordering from the Club Heidi website, it just wouldn’t work no matter what I tried. BUT — I found that if you go to this link, you can order the July kit directly from the Scrapbook.com website:
    http://store.scrapbook.com/hs-clubheidi.html

  72. gabbe 2 July, 2007 at 3:49 pm

I am SOOOO excited! I ordered my club kit today- cannot wait!
I’m in the AYTR class too & I just can not get enough of your products!! LOVE EM LOVE EM LOVE EM! Keep em coming!
    We luv ya!!

  73. scrapbook retailer 2 July, 2007 at 4:40 pm

In the re-read, I did speak brashly which is regrettable and I apologize for spreading bad karma. It was not my intention. I would like to re-state my point in a rational, non threatening way:
The problem is NOT “clubheidi”. The kit looks fantastic – who wouldn’t want it!? The problem is the price it is being sold for.
Here’s the thing: How can a manufacturer set a retail price (MSRP) and then not uphold it? Isn’t that saying they were ripping everyone off in the first place? Isn’t it saying that their products were obviously over priced and really only worth ½ of what THEY said it was worth?
When was the last time you bought furniture when it wasn’t on sale (and I am willing to bet it was ½ off last time you did, btw) and if it wasn’t on sale surely you negotiated a good discount with the sales person! When was the last time you paid sticker price on a car? (Just about everyone knows that sticker price on a car already has a substantial profit written in for the seller.)
How can a manufacturer expect a retailer to buy their product at wholesale (which typically is 50% off MSRP) pay to ship it in (generally costs 10 -15% of the total order) also pay the overhead on their building, the cost of employees etc….(generally 25% – 35% of gross sales) if they cannot sell for full retail price? IT”S JUST WRONG FOR MANUFACTURERS TO COMPETE WITH THEIR RETAILERS AND UNDERCUT THEIR OWN MSRP PRICE.
Everyone loves a bargain – to get more for less is a great concept. Consumers would actually be irresponsible with their spending $$ if they DID pay double the price for something available for less. I’m sure everyone with a great LSS where they supply you with materials and inspiration… hold classes, crops etc… wouldn’t dream of doing anything to put them out of business… and I’m not saying THIS will. But! Consider this: Heidi Swapp products just joined furniture and cars – you would be not be $$ conscious to buy furniture and cars at full MSRP when they are always available for less– and now you would be not be $$ conscious to buy Heidi Swapp products from a retail store – at full retail.
AGAIN – this is fine for YOU to do… YOU are getting the most you can out of your expendable cash – this is commendable even… Why should you not?
LOTS of people get a tax id and do “group buys” so they can get all the stuff they want for ½ price – although wholesalers would not sell to a “group buy” if they knew that’s what it was…. Which makes it seems strange that a manufacturer would turn around and do this.
Perhaps we should ask ourselves why THIS COMPANY is doing this? Is it a sign that the industry on the whole is in danger? If a manufacturer has to sell wholesale to the public, they either need to unload product their usual distributors are not buying, or they are themselves in financial jeopardy. I have a hard time believing it is for “FUN” or even greed. If “HIEDI SWAPP PRODUCTS” is in trouble, I am sorry for that, but this is honestly no way to fix it. IF it really is for “fun” – the company should uphold it’s set retail pricing… that’s only right.
IS it actually shameful? You decide… Clubheidi (with the pricing structure as is) weakens the value of Heidi Swapp products, and may be detrimental to the scrapbooking industry on the whole. If the industry suffers – we will all feel it in the long run…. Believe it or not.

  74. stephanie shreeve 2 July, 2007 at 4:45 pm

I made sure I was up to get mine, even tho I have most of the stuff in the kit, but I wanted the book too.. woo Hoo Cant wait, My LSS does not carry everything I want from Heidi so for the “scrapbook retailer” that replied on this blog, sounds like maybe you need to go tend to your store, and get on with you life, if this is your worst problem then you’ll be alright.

  75. does it matter ? 2 July, 2007 at 4:54 pm

Ok what about all the other kit companies out there ?? what about ebay ?? they all sale stuff on a discounted scale, This is a whole bunch of stuff, a kit, not just 1 product sold at a discount. You can get stuff in kits all day long on the web for 20-30 dollars ? I love Heidi’s stuff, and I will still buy Heidi stuff from my lss . There is enough to go around.

  76. Kim Chalfen 2 July, 2007 at 5:06 pm

I would say the person from scrapbook retailer needs to back off. If you are having a problem with this then don’t look or don’t get involved. I was a scrapbook store owner and the only thing that makes us think twice is the companies we bought from go to retail on their sites. That was a problem but I am no longer in the business who cares. Heidi and Advantus are doing this for their customers. And I do say we appreciate every bit of it. Scrapbook retailer I do believe if you are the owner of the magazine then maybe you should think twice aboout this. I do know that you used to have a company named Paper Gardens and I also do know that there have been licensing issues with you about what you were printing. Leave Heid and her club alone and do something constructive in your business. Back off and enjoy life.

  77. Cindy C. T. 2 July, 2007 at 5:07 pm

My LSS doesn’t carry a whole lot of HS. So, I get it where I can. End of story. Sorry for all your “Overhead” and what not, but you’re the one who decided to go into business, and we are the ones that you need to make happy. I’m sure that with one little company doing a kit (HS) you will not go out of business. Handle it.

  78. KrisB 3 July, 2007 at 12:27 pm

I’m in Heidi’s AYTR class. I signed up because I love her style & her products, but I can’t find much of her product in my area. So, I have to shop on-line for almost all of her product. I do buy what I can locally to support the independant craft store left in my area, but not all of her products are available. By doing Club Heidi, Advantus is listening to the wants and needs of their customers…and I love it. Thanks to Heidi & Advantus!

  79. Carrie 3 July, 2007 at 2:29 pm

Oh yeah, just ordered it! Can’t wait!

  80. Lisa 3 July, 2007 at 7:27 pm

Well, what a load of fuss froms a shop owner selling the hs items. Its not like the kit is available to every person who jumps online. like Heidi said there are limited kits available. im sure the people who cannot get the kits will go to there lss and purchase the items so they can join in the fun and do the projects on club heidi site.
I think its generating excitment back to those who maybe have lost their scrapping bug!!
    GO HEIDI

  81. My Little Hobby 3 July, 2007 at 11:07 pm

Howdy, Heidi. I just used some of your retro photo corners on a card I created and put a link to your cool website. I love the extra something the photo corners give! Thank you! –Kelly

  82. Cristal 4 July, 2007 at 8:40 am

All I can say is Club Heidi is da BOMB! I ordered my kit at 9:00 am on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. I don’t care if her stuff in the kits is older – its great stuff for the price. And with that kind of service, I’m in your pocket FOREVER, Heidi!
    Cristal

  83. September Radecki 4 July, 2007 at 6:00 pm

I wish I could at least see it. EVen if I can’t order it because I work and can’t get on the internet at 9 am on a weekday, it would have been nice to SEE it. 🙁 I love Heidi’s stuff…. oh well.

    Hi ya.
Went to sign up for the kit for the month and everyother month.
But sorry, Heidi, the cost of the postage was to dare and could get things cheaper here in New Zealand.
But don’t worry I will still look

Maybe next month you could make more available???? What really bums me out is my sweet hubby and I are taking our FIRST, (yes, FIRST!)real trip this summer and we’re ANCIENT …… Only states even visited are CA., of course!… Washington state and Nevada. sniff sniff…are you feeling eating alive with guilt? (as you would say…”wink!”) and we’re cruising to….ta da! Europe..on a cruise, Barcelona, France, Italy, Greece, Corfu….all sea ports… and your kit was designed for travel! BUMMMMMMMER! Well, guess I’ll live… not quite as happily though! hee hee! Anywhoooo……. seriously…WHERE CAN I GET YOUR BOOK??? Looked all over your site and can’t find it anywhere?…Also, STILL use your first one constantly… in fact, just this wkend. I think nearly every lo I’ve done has used your “Love Your Handwriting” style!
Good luck w/the new bambino! Know how you feel. One daughter was born in June and the other Aug 29th in Yuma, AZ!!!! No one knows the pure AGONY of being preggo in the desert! Sure a good thing the little buggers are so darling and loveable!!!

One of the reasons I am so excited about Club Heidi is simply because of the ideas and inspiration that will be available to us every month! I personally have tons of her product already, so I didn’t even need to purchase the July kit, but I have lots of new ideas now! I think it’s awesome what you are doing, Heidi…keep it up and know that there are waaaaaaaaaay more people who are FOR you, rather than against you. You are one of the most innovative scrapbook artists and designers in the industry and we love ya!!

My mind is like a complete blank, but so it goes. Basically nothing seems important, but I guess it doesn’t bother me. I’ve just been letting everything wash over me , but pfft. I haven’t been up to anything. Such is life. I can’t be bothered with anything.

I haven’t been up to much today. What can I say? I can’t be bothered with anything lately. I just don’t have anything to say these days, but eh. I don’t care.
